Integration Engineer

Make Brixi fit naturally into the systems revenue teams already run.

Work From AnywhereRemote Bengaluru, IndiaFull-time2–8 years experience

Brixi sits in the middle of the customer journey: leads arrive from different channels, teams work across multiple systems, and the right context has to move with the customer. As an Integration Engineer, you will make that connection layer reliable, understandable, and easy to extend. Our engineering work spans AWS, DigitalOcean, Docker, Java, Python, and TypeScript, with modern coding tools such as Claude and Codex helping us move from idea to tested implementation faster.

A typical week

  • Start from a customer workflow or product requirement and map the systems, events, data, and failure states involved.
  • Read third-party API documentation, test behavior in a sandbox, and make pragmatic calls when the source system is inconsistent.
  • Pair with product and engineering on implementation, then validate the integration with realistic customer data and edge cases.
  • Investigate logs, replay events, and communicate clearly when an integration needs a fix, workaround, or product decision.

What you’ll do

  • Build and maintain integrations with CRM, messaging, marketing, calendar, and workflow platforms.
  • Design robust API clients, webhook handlers, authentication flows, retries, and observability for production workloads.
  • Translate customer workflows into clean data models and predictable sync behavior.
  • Partner with product, support, and customers to debug edge cases and improve integration UX.
  • Create reusable patterns, tests, documentation, and internal tooling that raise the quality bar for future integrations.

What you’ll bring

  • 2–8 years of experience building production software or integrations, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Strong TypeScript/JavaScript fundamentals and comfort working with HTTP, REST APIs, JSON, and webhooks.
  • A practical understanding of authentication, rate limits, idempotency, queues, retries, and failure handling.
  • Ability to investigate ambiguous problems and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teammates.
  • Care for maintainable code, useful logs, and tests that protect real customer workflows.

Helpful, but not required

  • Experience with CRMs, WhatsApp or messaging APIs, telephony, or marketing automation platforms.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL, background jobs, event-driven systems, or cloud deployment.
  • Experience working directly with customers or implementing SaaS integrations.

What success looks like

  • New integrations move from idea to reliable pilot quickly.
  • Customers can understand what is synced, when it is synced, and what happens when something fails.
  • The integration surface becomes easier for the whole team to extend and operate.

Your first 90 days

  • Learn Brixi’s architecture, customer workflows, development practices, and existing integration patterns.
  • Ship a meaningful integration improvement or new connector with tests, documentation, and operational visibility.
  • Identify one recurring integration failure mode and improve the underlying pattern rather than patching only one case.
